McMahon Commercial is a Tauranga based company that has grown out of the success of Property Managers Ltd, a young company with a big heart and strong, steady performance specialising in all aspects of commercial property management.
 
With Property Managers starting their syndications in 1995 and to date now have 20 buildings in Tauranga, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo and Christchurch.
 
Both the syndication and management aspects of the business have grown over the years and it was in 2006 the decision was made, after Denis McMahon had been approached by a number of clients, to establish McMahon Commercial division as part of the Property Managers Group. McMahon Commercial has taken on business brokers as well but the company is still quite small offering a boutique personal service to our clients.
 
Meet the Team

Denis McMahon:

Denis has been involved in the management of both private and public sector property portfolios since 1984.  In 1992 he formed Property Managers Limited in Tauranga to offer an independent, professional service in the commercial and industrial property arena.  Such was the demand for his services that his clients encouraged him to secure new properties in which they could invest and so Property Managers Syndications was born with its first syndication being a $2m commercial property in Tauranga in 1994 (which is still producing excellent returns to-day). Between 1994 – 2008, Property Managers Syndications Limited has successfully syndicated some 21 properties from Auckland to Christchurch with an overall value approaching $100 million. McMahon Commercial opened in 2006 and grew out of the perceived need to have a professional, boutique agency arm and specialises in the sale of titles in the syndicated properties as well as specific commercial projects. Denis was Chairman of the Property Council (Bay of Plenty branch) from 1996 – 2000 and is a member of the Property Institute.  

Philip Hunt:

Philip joined the McMahon Commercial team after five years as a Senior Commercial and Industrial Property Manager with Property Managers Limited. During this time he developed a strong reputation for the efficient level of service he provided. Philip specialises in Commercial and Industrial Proportionate Title Investments where his 14 years experience and expertise as an investor in these schemes is a real asset to clients. Well known as a past Mainstreet Manager for 6 years in Tauranga's CBD, Philip works on leasing and property sales in that area. Terry Sievers:

Terry Sievers is involved with business broking and commercial property leasing. Terry comes with some experience in management in the local government sector but, more recently has provided consultancy services to the hospitality industry specialising in liquor law and resource management compliance. As a boutique agency with a strong team focus, Terry believes that McMahon Commercial can provide the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and specialised personal service.

Yves Collin:

Yves is an AREINZ and Accredited Business Broker. He joined the McMahon Commercial team after 12 years in the Real Estate industry, specialising in Businesses and Motel sales. Prior to his arrival in Tauranga and his involvement in the Real Estate industry, Yves operated his own business for 15 years, dealing with many different types of industries. This business background is a real asset for his current position with the McMahon Commercial team. Yves is focussing on Service and is known for his professional approach and integrity.
